Our Fees
CONSULTANT FEES
2016
We aim to offer a cost effective package so that parents, carers, schools and Local Authorities can access a professional service with a dedicated expert named advocate. As far as possible costs will be fixed and clients will know what they will be paying for our services with no hidden extras.
Payment by instalment can be arranged if required.
Additional Costs
• Photocopying will be charged at 8p per page
• Postage will be guaranteed next day delivery
• Travel will be 2nd class fare or 40p per mile.
Clients will be responsible for agreeing any additional costs with expert professionals or witnesses. For cases outside the London area travel costs will be discussed on a case by case basis.
Initial Consultation
All potential clients are invited to call or email for a free initial consultation.
Annual Subscription for Parents
Our costs (apart from Exclusion or Tribunal work) are based upon our Annual Subscription. This will give access to telephone and email advice from a named advocate, with all calls/emails returned within 3 working days.
Additional services available to families who subscribe to the Annual Subscription are:
• Surgery appointments
• Paperwork responses
• Attendance at meeting with LAs, school and school visits.
If parents wish to access advice without subscribing to the Annual Subscription, an hourly rate will apply.
Tribunal Appeals
We offer a fixed fee price for each appeal, thus enabling clients to budget at the beginning of the appeal process. Each fee is divided into parts allowing clients’ flexibility and setting a maximum limit on what they expect to pay. We ask that fees be paid in advance. In the event of a case settling before a Hearing, the client will be charged for the Working Document and preparation for the Tribunal at a fixed cost, enabling a refund to be given if the cost of work is less than the fixed fee lodged with Advocacy and Mediation Consultants Limited.
Exclusion Appeals
We offer a fixed fee price for each appeal, thus enabling clients to budget at the beginning of the appeal process. Each fee is divided into parts allowing clients’ flexibility and setting a maximum limit on what they expect to pay. We ask that fees be paid in advance. Secondary Transfer Appeals
This cost will include face to face appointments with a named Advocate at our office in Richmond, SW London lasting approximately 1.5 - 2 hours. This cost will be deducted from our Tribunal fees should the client select us to support them through the Tribunal process.
Training
All training courses will include a full training manual and set of resources.
